Gealynn Lea Book Tour

Even though Disability Pride month is officially over, (where did July go?) we continue to lift up the voices and lived experiences of people with disabilities. We at Above & Beyond With U are excited to partner with the Two Harbors and Silver Bay Public Libraries to bring to the North Shore, the Gealynn Lea Book Tour.

On Tuesday, August 18th from 5-7pm at the Two Harbors Public Library and on Friday, August 21st from 1:30-3:30pm at the Silver Bay Public Library, Gaelynn Lea will engage in a questions and answer discussion about her memoir, It Wasn’t Meant to be Perfect moderated by yours truly. Then Gaelynn will carry us away to deep places of connection and pondering in a mini concert of her tunes from many chapters of her life and memoir. To close out our time together, Gealynn will sign her book and connect with the audience. Books will be for sale by Back Forty Books. If you already have her book, please bring it for her to sign.

Gaelynn Lea is a musician, songwriter, Broadway composer, NPR Tiny Desk winner, disability activist, and amazing human being. Gaelynn is from Duluth, MN where she lives her abundant life with her husband Paul when they are not traveling and touring the world. Gaelynn and Paul have their favorite spot on the North Shore where they got engaged, you’ll have to read her book or come to the event to find out where this spot is.
